The Chef of Love Jernard Wells
Best-selling author, entrepreneur and restaurant founder, Chef Jernard, shows his love to his family -- wife and eight children -- by cooking. There are many kinds of love and endless ways to convey that love on the dinner table.
Chef Jernard, the oldest son in his family of six children, learned to cook by watching his father, who cooked every night for his family. After his father's death when Chef Jernard was 16, his mother helped him start a catering business that exploded in popularity. Throughout high school, Chef Jernard combined his passion for creating new recipes with his commitment to being a contributing member to the family finances. A month after starting his catering business -- selling boxed lunches to area construction workers -- he moved his operations out of his mother's kitchen and in to a rental space. By the age of 19 he had founded his first restaurant in Mississippi and was able to fund his education at the Memphis Culinary Academy. He has traveled the world honing his skills. By 22 he had opened his second restaurant in an entertainment complex in Tennessee.
Today Chef Jernard is in the process of opening his fourth restaurant in downtown Ringgold, GA, Bon Appetite Bistro. He has a thriving catering company, a custom apparel company and, according to the Amazon tracking system, is a best-selling cookbook author. He is a sought after celebrity chef making presentations at large shows next to such illustrious celebrities as Barack Obama (Real Men Cook in Chicago), Paula Deen and The Neelys (Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaing Show, Atlanta) and others. His appearances at independent book shops and chain bookstores are often to large crowds and his stacks cookbooks often sell out before the end of his events, much to the delight of booksellers!

They have been married since 2001 and have four daughters and four sons. While Chef Jernard cooks for his family, on special occassions his sons whip up dinner to show their love for their parents. Born in 1979, Chef Jernard has been blessed to have a loving family and to have accomplished much before the age of 30. He treats his wife and his mother to trips while traveling for business and cheerishes the time he spends with all of his children.
